Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Amazing flick. Absolute entertaintment.

Pluses:

• Hats off Tom Cruise. Mannn, he is one evergreen personality.
• The USP of the movie were: Action, Technology and Humor. I loved the way they have woven the humour in a hard core action flick.
• Very very gripping storyline and breathtaking shots.
• Movie is very fast paced, it never slows down.
• Simon Pegg as 'Benji', Jeremy Renner as 'Brandt' and Paula Patton as 'Jane' were at their best.

Minuses:

Goes without saying, Anil Kapoor.Horrendous presentation.

Ladies vs Ricky Bahl

Entertaining. Gripping. Time pass :)

Pluses:

• Ranbir Singh did it again :) Cheers to him and this time with an amazing physique as well :)
• Anushka Sharma was good.
• It has so much flavor from 'Band Baaja Baraat'. You just cant stop recalling and comparing.
• Story was pretty gripping, you dont get bored even for a second.
• The three ladies viz. Parineeta Chopra, Aditi Sharma and Dippanita Sharma did awesome jobs. My personal fav being the character played by Parineeta as 'Dimple' :) I wonder how many more Sharma's are a part of the entire project :P
• Such movies, once unfolded aint much of a charm watching the second time. Somehow this one wont disappoint you watching the second time either. Thanks to the dialogue deliveries. :)

Minuses:

• Script had many eyebrow raising flaws. When you work on a plot like this, one needs to be extra careful in scripting it.
• Music was a let down, except for the Title number.
• I personally didnt like the ending. Wasnt required to force in happy ending.

The Dirty Picture

A very bold film undoubtedly. Wont dissapoint you from what u expected.

Pluses:

• Hats off to Mr. Naseeruddin Shah.He is one veteran actor we will cherish for long.
• Vidya Balan did all justice to what the role demanded.
• Emraan Hashmi for the first time ever earned a lot of respect with this role and his performance. :D
• Kudos to Ekta Kapoor for making a movie so bold and even getting it passed through the censor board.
• Statement making dialogues. Soul of the movie.
• The frustration of a star is portrayed much better in this movie as cudnt be done by "Imitiaz" for 'Rockstar'
• This movie gets your thought process running. Long time having watched somethin stirring like this one.

Minuses:

• Tusshar Kapoor is a waste. He ruined half an hour post interval period.
• Few songs were literally forced in the movie. Just wasnt required.

Twilight Saga: Breakin Dawn Part I

Quite a disappointment.Very average flick.

Pluses:

• Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart gave their best performances in the entire series.
• The finishing line was appropriately built creating some amount of tension in the nerves.

Minuses:

• Robert Pattinson was absolutely wasted.
• Very very slow narration as would be expectd.
• Hardly any content to cover up for 2 hours of duration.
• Failed to create the charm like other Twilight series.
• The romance, the passion was absolutely missing between the couple however they tried to portray the most important phase of the love story between 'Bella' and 'Edward'.

Desi Boys

Pure entertainer. Never ever apply any logic.

Pluses:

• Akshay Kumar is the stealer.
• John Abraham was hot. :)
• Chitrangada Singh in a role that you perhaps always dream about.
• Very impressive dialogues. You will laugh at almost all of them. :)
• Entertainment factor is the soul of the movie.

Minuses:

• Please don't attempt to understand what and why are things happening in the movie.Absolutely, no brainers.
• Deepika Padukone was wasted. There wasn't anything new in what she performed in this one.
• John just cant act or dance, please refrain him from doing these things.
• Absolutely no script at all.
• Junk direction.
• Music is forgettable.

In time

Good concept. However cudnt make it engrossing enough.

Pluses:

• Good concept. First hour goes in understanding the world without money. :)
• Justin Timberlake as 'Will Salas' and Amanda Seyfried as 'Sylvia Weis' did a decent job.

Minuses:

• Poor story line. Could have kept some content while scripting something on such concept.
• Second half of the movie was not very impressive.

Tower Heist

Not a bad watch. Time pass flick. Nothing extraordinary to boast about.

Pluses:

• Ben Stiller as 'Josh Kovacs' and Eddie Murphy as 'Slide' did a good job.
• Story well woven, to not let you sleep.

Minuses:

Script could have been written better.However not all that bad.

Rockstar

Very disappointing movie. Expected a lot better from Imtiaz Ali and A.R Rehman. Not a very matured flick for a matured audience.

Pluses:

• Ranbir Kapoor. Whatever was given to him, he justified the role.
• The first half an hour was entertaining, but thats about it.

Minuses:

• Impatiently slow. Unnecessarily long.
• Attempt to frame it in the western fashion, stitching stories back and forth, but the context didnt really work for it. Nothing intriguing enough to hold you to see the past.
• Disappointing character sketch of a Rockstar. The pain, the frustration they tried to portray, wasnt up to the mark.
• Many many flaws, 'Jordan' acting insane and animal like for no apparent reason. No drugs either. A frame of Rockstar is incomplete without dope. :D Somebody plz remind Imtiaz about it :)
• Nargis Fakhri, a complete let down when it comes to acting. One of the major character in the movie and what awful performance.
• Music was just about passe. Screwed up the very popular 'Sadda Haq' with forced context on Mother Nature :P The most romantic of the songs ,"Tum ho" was equivalent to 'nahi hona'. Rest of them were all backgrounds.
• Not a very strong script to depict the romance between the two leads.

In short, Imtiaz tried to put a lot of masala in the picture...Alas! failed to make an impact.

Real Steel

One lovely movie. Quite different from the set expectations. Must watch.

Pluses:

• Very difficult to differentiate between the leads, Hugh Jackman and Dakota Goyo playin the characters of 'Charlie Kenton' and 'Max Kenton' respectively. Awesome job by both of them.
• The movie however u would expect to be more of action, but is instead a lot of drama :) And on the surprising side...is in itself the biggest plus point.
• The relationship between the son-father duo is profoundly sketched.
• The script written aptly so as to get you the feel.
• Evangeline Lilly as 'Bailey Tallet' is a pleasant support.

Minuses:

• On the technical side, it fails to create an impression, is what i personally felt.
• The initial half an hour may feel a little dull. But the story picks up later.

Drive

An over hyped and mis advertised flick. Watch at your own risk.

Pluses:

• Probably, one should watch it as a piece of art and then keep drawing their own interpretations in order to like this flick.
• Ryan Gosling as the driver, has done a decent job.
• There are couple of gore scenes, lot of blood shed...i count this as plus :D

Minuses:

• Dead slow. You need hell lot of patience to survive this through.
• The script has nothing extraordinary to offer you. Its the same cliche story.

My Rating: 2/5 (Sorry, i dont have the capability to admire piece of art :( )

Johnny English Reborn

Easily movie of the week. A very entertaining flick.

Pluses:

• Rowan Atkinson did a super job as 'Johnny English'. His expressions were worth the movie.Notewrothy performance.
• The movie maintains a balance between the spy- thriller and comedy. Comedy is the essence of the movie, but it never lets the thriller part get undermined.
• The story was well woven....nothing much of it is kept a secret but still keeps you glued to your seats.

Minuses:

Why was the movie of a 100 min length. :( We would have endured Mr. Johnny English for a longer period of time.

Sahib Biwi Gangster

A good watch. Quality movie.Dont expect entertaintment, its more on serious grounds.

Pluses:

• Am sure, 70% of the audience would expect adult contents. And the flick doesnt really disappoint you :) However, one should keep in mind, its just a part of the whole story.
• All the three characters of 'Sahib', 'Biwi' and 'Gansgter' are vey well defined and elegantly portrayed by the three actors.
• Kudos to Jimmy Shergil, Mahie Gill and Randeep Hooda.
• Good presentation, each and every character unfolds itself with vigour.
• You clearly see a lot of woman power in this flick. I kinda like it :)

Minuss:

• Music. Strong hold of music in such context leaves a mark. While this one fails. Some weird interpretation, did actually sound bad.
• Pace of the movie is a bit slow. You need to hold onto it with a little patience.

Force

A sigh of relief after a long wait for some good flick. A sure watch if you are a John fan.

Pluses:

• Men, men and only men. Girls have a lot to drool and guys for a lot to get inspired :P
• Now that everyone knows its a remake of a South Indian flick, there is no orinigiality in the script, but howsoever....the script was written good.
• First half may seem like a general action flick, though the second half is there to rip it all :)
• John Abraham looked fab and so did Vidyut Jamwal(The negative character).The two USP's of the movie.

Minuses:

• Genelia was so so, nothing new of her for us to see.
• Songs were passe, nothing great.

Mausam

Disaster.'SAWARIYAA-II'. Sincere request - PLEASE AVOID.

Pluses:

• Probably the only nice thing about the whole movie were those 5 mins for the only hit song "Rabba main to mar gaya oyye".
• The scenes related to aviation wasn't bad, though the sequence lasts only for 10 mins, provided you survived the movie till interval :)

Minuses:

• Shahid Kapoor, he didnt fit into the role of a punjabi to begin with, neither as a Indian Air force pilot.
• Sonam Kapoor, she looked pale, diseased most of the times. Average performance.
• Presentation was severely a pain to your eyes and your psyche. Nothing less than a documentary.
• Utter nonsense script.
• A few songs were choking.
• The movie has no storyline, no grip to hold you back post interval. Moreover its a 3 hours of mental torture. Very Very Disappointing.

Aarakshan

Quite a headache. Please save your time and spend the cash somewhere else :)

Pluses:

• Amitabh Bachchan. The movie is centered around him. He is the lead.
• Deepika Padukone did a decent job.
• Manoj Bajpai was good as always. :) Such roles suites him.

Minuses:

• This movie should be renamed from 'Reservation' to 'Education'. It has nothing to do with the reservation on a whole.
• Very cliche script and absolute non sense script.
• Saif Ali Khan was such a dampner. Prateik Babbar and Saif were such loosers. The script was written such.
• Songs were really irritating, quite a pain.
• Too much 'shuddh hindi', spoiler.

Singham

As everyone would have expected...another South Indian remake and in a South Indian style.Thats bout it. Just time pass.

Pluses:

• Ajay Devgan, without any second thought..he is the USP of the movie. Loved his physique...absolute macho :D
• Kajal Agarwal was cute, though a very short role.
• Dialogues were worth checking out. A few of them really made a mark..like "Meri Zaruratein kam hai.... isiliye meri Zameer mei dum hai" :)
• Action though you could count in pluses, but you need to have right expectations :)

Minuses:

• Songs were just about moderate.
• Horrible climax...i have no clue who originally has written the script...its too much of drama for me to handle.

Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows II

Best in the entire series. You will love it. A must watch for even those who are not Harry Potter fans

Pluses:

• No wasting time in dialogues, stories unfold consecutively with every scene.
• The script and the presentation keeps you glued to the seat.
• The climax is beholding....for those who havent read the book will really enjoy it.
• Good work by all the lead actors. No words for Daniel Redcliffe.( We will miss you as Harry Potter)
• Nice cinematography.

Minuses:

• Didn't quite appreciate the end. There is nothing a director could have done, since the story is already written.
• 3D is a waste again.

Zindagi milegi na dobara

This is not a movie, its an experience. :) Absolutely loved it. Though not built for all class of audience. For those who love to be out there. :)

Pluses:

• The energy in the flick. There is just so much of activeness and unmatchable energy in it.
• Simplicity of the script, there is not much of complication in the story, yet does it for you. :)
• The presentation/direction....thats the USP of the flick. Very subtle dialogues, light minded humour and fun filled joy ride. :)
• Expressions,i can watch this movie thrice to note every different expression of all the three main character in each dialogue/scene. :)
• Hrithik Roshan, no words enough to describe him, just amazing :) You will hate him in the beginning and fall in love with him by the end. :)
• Farhan Akhtar, he was the heart of the movie. Light character.
• Abhay Deol, not the center of attraction here, but no less any other, without his presence, the trio is incomplete. :)
• Katrina Kaif, loved her character in the movie. Females are otherwise treated as accessories in Bollywood flicks.
• Awesome coverage of Spain, Spanish tourism is endoresed well :)

Minuses:

• We missed Hrithik dancing exclusively. There wasnt enough platform created for him to dance :(
• Music could have been a little better. The music goes only with the movie, you wont take it back home.
• Kalki Koechlin was wasted.

Murder 2

Has no connection to original Murder. Not a bad watch.

Pluses:

• Jacqueline looks hot throughout, as is the USP of the movie.
• Emraan was his usual self and great.
• The movie at least doesnt drag, you dont feel bored.
• Sulagna Panigrahi( as Reshma) created an aura of sympathy around the story, she acted well. In fact she was the main actress in the movie. :P

Minuses:

• It didnt live upto the expectations created through the promotions.
• There were hardly any gore scenes. I kept awaiting for some violence, but most of the violent content were usual stuffs.They skipped a lot of things shown during the trailors.
• Bold scene was just one of the lot,usual Emraan Hashmi stuff...nothing out of the world.
• Jacqueline was wasted, hardly any role to play.
• Script lacked a good story, no mystery,no suspense.
• Cliche dialogues and very illogical presentation.
• Emraan didnt look hot at all..weird hairstyle and never shirtless :D as was promoted. :(

My Rating: 3/5 (For the overall feel of the movie)

Transformers: Dark of the moon

For all the transformers fans...a must watch :)

Pluses:

• You can just not expect more of the transformers....a complete 2.5 hours of pure action only :)
• Even though it feels been dragged a bit here and there, but the make and various styles in action never makes u feel monotonous.
• It gives you plenty of instances to whistle as and when the heroic appearance of the good will transformers happen, just when you expect a tragedy.
• Brilliant cinematography.
• Good work by Shia LaBeouf
• Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks hot throughout

Minuses:

• None can replace the oomph of Megan Fox. We missed you.
• The movie is pretty long for a hollywood action flick.
• 3D is a waste expenditure.

Delhi Belly

One fucking entertaining flick. Thats the best i can write to its justice. Please watch in only in English. Go, grab the tickets if you havent yet :)

Pluses:

• The movie is scripted to be built in English, please dont get carried away for dialogues, expecting it to be better in Hindi. Watch it in English only. :)
• Its a very very bold flick. You might have seen a lot of movies off late with bold dialogues, this one gives you a little extra edge with some scandalizing scenes. Beware of the company you chose to watch it, might land you in some serious embarrassment.
• Imran Khan and Kunal Roy Kapoor were exceptionally good. Imran looked really fab in such a shabby grumpy look throughout :)
• Shenaaz for a change got some better role to play.
• Superb humor, though most of it nasty...still makes the multiplex audience break its monotonous silence. :)
• Its just a pure entertainer, and that's about it.

Minuses:

• All the music is in the background :( Here we really wanted to see the videos :(
• Vir Das drama for his heart break and the song 'Jaa Churail' was absolutely not required..it was a headache.
• At a few places it felt a bit dragging, or forcefully attempting to cook a story out of a non script, plain entertainment flick.
• For a flick without music and short as 1.5 hours, they could have made it even better, especially when it has a nod from the censor board in itself.
• Vir Das was kind of wasted.

Bheja Fry 2

The irritation i expected out of the movie was not a quality one, to my disappointment. :( The sequel isnt as good as the original Bheja Fry. :(

Pluses:

• Kay Kay Menon, he was good on his part as usual.
• Minisha Lamba was pretty :)

Minuses:

• Vinay Pathak, he was disappointing. :( A tad bit over acting.
• Humour was not up to the mark.
• The plot was dragging at a lot of places, could have been cut short.
• Few characters were absolutely unnecessary.
• Script and dialogues were the major dampners.

X-Men: First Class

A typical hollywood sci-fi flick. Nothing extraordinary for those who aint X-Men fan :)

Pluses:

• Some good action.
• Some good extraordinary mutants :P
• Good entertaintment

Minuses:

• I still wonder how is it genetically possible to produce mutants with super powers like the one shown here.
• Cliche stuff, nothing out of the world.

One brilliant make.A must watch, but do not expect masala stuff. Its just the presentation of the movie that woes you.


Pluses:

• Anurag Kashyap pulls away the whole movie only with his direction.
• Script however could be cliche, but you dont apply too much of thought on the script as the movie advances.
• Entire starcast did a good job. A lot of actors were literally hand picked, whom you wished you could see on screen again. Ex: Rajiv Khandelwal,Nikhil Chinappa, Rajat Barmecha(Udaan fame), Raj Kumar Yadav(LSD/Ragini MMS fame)
• Background score was amazing.
• You love the way story takes shape in the later half. Well edited stuff.

 

 

Minuses:

Checks your patience in the scenes where you are high on whats coming, a sudden slow down in effects. Was loosing my patience actually :D

Kuch love jaisa

Please ignore! I had to watch Hangover 2 to get rid of the hangover of this movie. Disaster.

Pluses:

• Good news for all the middle aged men out there, Shefali is a lot younger now, provided you can sustain her :D
• I am happy at least the music was soothing.

Minuses:

• Rahul Bose, absolutely wasted, I wonder what made him sign on this project.
• Script and dialogues are silly, irrelevant, hopeless!!
• Shefali's over acting and dialogues were just unbearable.
• You cant withstand till interval, and if you decide on staying back through the movie, you are bound to come out with a headache.

Hangover 2

What a watch :) Enjoyed every bit of it. No less than the first. A must watch with frens and good crowd.

Pluses:

• Script, dialogues and actors stole the show :)
• This time its Bangkok, rest I leave it to your imagination :) 
• Zach Galifianakis(as Alan)...you cant stop loving or hating him :)
• Bradley Cooper( as Phil), such a hunk :)
• Ed Helms(as Stu), one v imp character, who does most of the whackiest thins
• Touches from the prequel are well woven.
• Good editing, good direction.
• The story unfolds really well, one fun filled journey :)

Minuses:

If at all any, all ignored :)

404 : Error not found

One very intriguing movie. A must watch. Loved it :) Small budgeted off beat movies have come a long way.

Pluses:

• The killer second half. Climax is the soul of the movie.
• Brilliant acting by all the actors , particularly Nishikant Kamat, Immaduddin Shah, Rajvvir Aroraa and  Tisca Chopra
• I wudnt say its a v slow movie, it definitely keeps u engaged.
• Very thought provoking open ended plot. Your mind carries it out of the theatre.

Minuses:

• Not really any. 
• Only one negative on my part, cant help being an audience :) couldnt help comparing the flick with Lage raho Munnabhai :D

Pirates of Caribbean: On the stranger tides 3D

Overall an average fantasy adventure flick. The other Pirate series were better. Though its a nice watch but nothing to go crazy about.

Pluses:

• Goes without saying, Johnny Depp, better known as Captain Jack Sparrow :) Brilliant and witty as always :)
• Penelope Cruz worth it, the first amongst the Pirates to have looked ohh so beautiful :) 
• The mermaids were the best part of the movie when it comes to fantasy, something never seen before :)

Minuses:

• 3D not worth it.
• Rest of the script apart from mermaids were cliche.
• Quite a dampner without those ugly looking creatures which makes Pirate series stand out.

Ragini MMS

Not a bad watch for theatrical lovers, might not be as entertaining in small screens!!
As it may seem, not really a copy of Paranormal Activity.


Pluses:

• Raj Kumar Yadav(the male lead), fab acting, be it horny, shitty, funny or scared...he presents you the character exactly as required according to the script. You will love him.
• Horror elements are not freaky, but they manage to scare when you expect them.
• Humour is a part of all genres now, you can expect some good laughter here as well, just to make sure you dont have nightmares when you sleep at night post movie :D

Minuses:

• The chilling factor was lacking, subtle stories can get to your nerves if directed in a right way.
• To your disappointment guys, there is not much of any adult content in it. :)
• Bad part about horror movies these days is, that the dark nervous factor doesnt stay with you, horror shudnt really be adulterated with humour.

Fast five

If you liked the previous series, this one you will love for sure. The best in the series :)

Pluses:

• Mind blowing beginning, sustaining the feel of it for the rest of the flick.
• Vin diesel, he is the lead, focussed.. No nonsense attitude
• Lots of good action barring the climax part.

Minuses:

• Undigestible climax: poor reasoning,mindles action. 
• The main part of the movie put me off after such a brilliant build up. If you are aware of the fact, that The Rock is a team with the rest somewhere in the movie, u keep awaiting the moment, only to have a dumb reasoning.
• Hopeless, mindless action in the end, I hated the ending, however you may enjoy it, while I was missing 'Hrithik' or 'John' from 'Dhoom' fame to do the task, they would have done it better am sure :)
• I didnt find the chics worth it, nor did I like the family angle induced in it; only to spoil the platform of some good action from the ladies.

Haunted 3D

My sincere request, its a must watch provided you are watching it with a group of punters :) Had super fun in the movie. Very very entertaining flick in all respects :)

Pluses:

• 3D, worth it!! Couldnt believe I was watching a hindi flick. Thanks to Vikram for conjuring the technicians of 'Avatar' fame to have the effects.Off late watched many flicks in 3D, nothing comes close to this one. Good work :)
• The flick is a concoction of all the masalas, everything you need for a paisa vasool satisfaction.
• It very well succeeds in scaring the hell out of you wherever there is an appearance, its a must watch in 3D.
• I guarantee you a good laughter throughout, dialogues do that for you.
• Script is mind blowing, you have not just one but 2 ghosts, out of which one is psychic :D If thats not enough, you have time travel, rape victim ghost,  lesbian ghost, you name it and you have it :P 
• Loved each and every comments passed during the movie with the audience :P including my companion :) Made it a worth watch
• Music is soothing, unlike conventional horror movies.

Minuses:

• Mediocre acting by all.
• WARNING:Never go with an expectation of spine chilling quality horror stuff. This is a pure entertainer with horror element :) 
• Please please pay tribute to Memo for dance act which is absolutely misplaced, and so join hands with the female lead-Tia Bajpai in laughing your heart out while he performs  :D

A sci-fi time travel flick and thats about it :) Nevertheless, a good watch

Pluses:

• Jake Glyenhall but of course :) 
• Lack of clarity around the main character, keeps you wondering and the flow of story keeps you glued.

Minuses:

• Michelle Monaghan. the female lead is actually quite irritating
• The end almost looked like forced happy ending, could have been different something.
• A few places it drags, when you expect tension, you find leisure romance, females in the movies are worthless, their casting should be avoided if the script doesnt demand.

Mediocre stuff. Can be ignored.

Rio-3D

A cute watch, specifically for the kids and those who love animated stuffs. :) Turn into a kid for a day :)

Pluses:

• All the characters were really cute.
• I specially liked the music, all songs were awesome :) 
• Story was well depicted, just go with the family and have a good time spent. 

Minuses:

3D was just about fine.Nothing great.

Scream 4

An apparent thriller. The script is intriguing, direction is a spoiler though.

Pluses:

• The beginning, pretty entertaining.
• The build and the plot, keeps u guessing about the murderer
• Somehow there is a thing I like bout thrillers, when the miscreant is uncovered, your mind automatically runs into flash back, unearthing all the clues u missed in guessing the culprit :)

Minuses:

• Very poor direction.
• Mockery of US police, what a shame.
• Unrealistic feautures and occurences.

F.A.L.T.U

Very faltoo movie indeed :) perhaps the only factor which made it work is the timing of release. Something fresh and time pass.

Pluses:

• The timing of release.
• Fresh faces, though none to drool over.
• If u can digest the first half and prepare yourself for 2nd half, you will then enjoy the rest of the movie.
• My personal fav was a performance in the end of the movie, u mostly watch such stuffs on small screen, its a fab watch on a big screen.
• A round of applause to Remo for his debutant direction and of course dance/performances which he Is best at :) 
• Songs are already doing a round, so that saves a lot from dampners :)

Minuses:

• Script, a little difficult to digest.
• You can easily catch issues with direction here and there, though a first attempt..u could ignore
• Female lead was wasted, nothing much for her to do, if not highlighted, she almost looks one amongst the crowd.
• Nothing much to dig, just shut your I.Q and enjoy :)

My rating: 2.5/5 (half a rating more only for the timing of its release, though post Dum maaro dum, it may not work for u)

Dum maaro dum

What a sigh of relief. Finally a breakthrough in hindi cinema after a spate of B grade stuffs. A must watch for all :)

Pluses:

• Abhishekh Bachchan, he really deserves appreciation for this one. 
• Rana Daggubati, he is the show stealer.
• Very well knitted script, keeps u glued to the seat
• Rocking dialogues, never fails to entertain even when the plot is so serious. 
• A huge applause for the director.
• Guys hold your breathe for Deepika...she drugs you, v v sexy :) and what a brilliant use of her oversized torso :P

Minuses:

• Bipasha Basu, I have no idea why she always is portrayed as a glam doll and a sex toy, she hardly has any role to play..absolute waste.
• Prateik Babbar..we really want to see a cool dude in him, dont want to see scared mouse..please someone realise his talent and offer him appropriate roles.
• I didnt like the streaming of deepika padukone item song, they weaved scenes in between. When u just dont wish to take off your eyes from her and crave for more, there appears AB Junior. :-[

Just go with it

Replica of the hindi flick 'Maine pyaar kyun kiya'. Need I say anything more.

Pluses:

• Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.
• All the child artists were a charm, u get to see a huge difference from bollywood starrers of the duplicate.
• Fun movie for the entire family.

Minuses:

Not much of any expectations I believe from the flick, so nothin disappoints you.

The Eagle

Legendary story of ancient Rome. Loved it after a spate of monotonous movies :) It takes you to a different world.

Pluses:

• Though nothing markably new in the script, but it feels good considering the current set of releases of late.
• Absolutely adored Channing Tatum as 'Marcus Aquila'. After a long time some fresh and young face. Ladies, he is handsome ;) 
• The character of Cohort Centurion as 'Istvan Goz' was admirable too. He reminds you of 'Frodo's' fren,  'Sam' from 'LOTR' fame.
• And most importantly you feel joy at the victory of Rome by the end of the movie.

Minuses:

I will have to literally dig out anything annoying bout it. Nothing notably wrong with the flick.

Sucker punch

Waste of time if u are at all lookin for a story. Or otherwise a visual treat for men especially :)

Pluses:

Dramatic graphics and visualisation. It gives u a gaming platform :D
Nevertheless, all the ladies...smokin hot in smokin constumes :)

Minuses:

Absolutely bull shit script, or probably I just didnt understand the illusion behind. :)

The fighter

Overall not a bad watch, provided u survive the first half :)


Pluses:

• Second half. The movie is pulled through in the next half.
• Melissa Leo as the shrewed business woman-mother rocks and so does the bunch of sisters, u will love to hate them. Oscar justified :)
• Amy Adams as Mark Wahlberg's gal fren was awesome, the role n the stand she had was commemdable. Bollywood should learn how to place a woman in a male oriented movie. They seriously lack that art.
• Mark Wahlberg was pretty good on his part.
• Chemistry between two brothers was depicted aptly.

Minuses:

• First half. Pretty boring, u start loosin patience.
• Cant help with real stories, they are unfortunately not so 'masaaledaar'
• Christian Bale sucks in the first half, probably my Indian bringing up, just cant digest tat attitude.

The hole

Dont go by what name suggest :D Its just an attempt to make a thriller. Absolute time pass.

Pluses:

• 3D quality of the movie is very good. Not a forced 3D attempt in the screening.
• To see someone in swim suit in 3D. :D Thats the only plus point i see in the movie.

• Cliche script.
• Cliche horror element.
• Cliche direction.

Tanu weds Manu

Light hearted flick. Anyway, there are v few bollywood releases. Amidst all the hollywood  flicks, for once this comes out to be a breather :)

Pluses:

• Simple script. Not much drama.
• Kangna, she is improving on her dialogue deliveries. :) And for once she didnt cry in the entire flick :D
• Characters sketches of Kangna and Madhavan. Kangna like never before...v jolly, and on the other hand Madhavan a romantic but silent lover.
• Jimmy Shergil's presentation was handsome and commendable :)
• Music did sound good in the context of the movie. :)

Minuses:

It had lots of potential to be a big hit especially lookin at minimal no. of releases from bollywood. Had it been a little better script and better dialogues, it could be another 'Jab we met' :)

Black Swan

Pyschic stuff. You may or may not like it. I at least dont like movies which puts me into depression, and this is one of them.

Pluses:

• Natalie Portman, a huge applause for her. :)
• And you really get to see some amazing Ballet. Hats off to Natalie again. :)
• Editing of the movie is good.
• In spite of being a slow flick, the script has the grip, you dont get bored.
• There is good amount of adult content as well. ;)

Minuses:

Too perfect a script can be at times depressing.

The King's Speech

As u would expect an Oscar winner movie wud be. Slow but nicely presented.

Pluses:

• The plot and the focus in the content.
• Collin Firth is an amazing actor as so was Geoffrey Rush. :)
• I personally liked the role of Helena Bonham Carter as well :)
• The end really is "saving grace" :)

Minuses:

That it is very slow. I dont prefer slow movies. Thank god in India at least they have a forced interval,else i wud have fallen :)

How do you know

Another time pass drama.Not a bad watch. At least you wont come out of the theatre cursing yourself for booking the tickets as would have happened for '7 Khoon Maaf' :)

Pluses:

• I love it when gals have multiple options of guys to choose from :D Alas!! apart from this there is nothing notably positive about this movie :)
• Personally liked Paul Rudd.
• Have no stress, just come, watch a light hearted show and return back smiling. I guess thats all you expect from a weekend show. :)

Minuses:

• Script. Cliche stuff!! :(
• Reese Witherspoon. Any fans in here???

7 Khoon Maaf

Nice experiment. But not of my taste.

Pluses:

• Indian movies are growing in terms of quality. 
• Direction was different, pleasant at times, while at times irritating.
• Priyanka Chopra can act :)
• Neil Nitin Mukesh was unexpectedly handsome, dashing and good actor. :D
• Irfan Khan was good too.

Minuses:

• But not a v practical script. 
• Priyanka looked at her worst.
• Hated John somehow :(
• V V slow movie.
• It could have been a better movie, if they reduced the murders to just 3 husbands and reduced the length to 2 hours.
• Dragged a lot.

The mechanic

Not a bad watch. Nothin spectacular either.

Pluses:

Jason Statham in the last 20 mins of the movie.Rest of the movie wasnt a Jason flick at all.

Minuses:

• Ben Foster steals the limelight. Not that i mind, but mind u, audience have come for Jason, not him.
• Dont expect too much of action. In fact there is hardly any action n the flick. :(
