Modern Mahabharat. Pretty much exagagerated way to put up Indian Politics. Trailors are quite misleading.Overall, an average movie. Just reaping the benefits of the box office failure of 'Kites'.

Pluses:

• Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. Who says Arjun Rampal cant act :D He doesnt need to :D His killer looks and attitude are enough to draw audience :) Ranbir though is versatile, and he proves it yet again. :)
• Script is unpredictable, so it keeps you glued to your seat till the end.
• No unnecessary songs pushed in.
• Not even a single scene goes off the track, story is pretty focussed from the begining till the end.

Minuses:

• Katrina is totally wasted.All of the trailors that u see, comprises of only the last 20 mins of the movie.
• Some scenes are unbearably dramatic, as that of 'Kunti' interfacing 'Karan', the kind of "shudh" Hindi used in this particular shot is a pain to listen through.
• Too much exaggeration of politics, killings after killings...if Indian govt had to be such, then our country would have been under an emergency all the time.
• Funny part is when u can see one after another additions on the wall of the 'Pandava's' individuals been put up with a "maala" over the picture. :P
• There are a v few female characters in the movie, and all of them have been impregnated once. Really funny.

Prince of Persia: The sands of time

Absolute time pass.Nothin extraordinary but yet entertaining. Go watch, have fun and then forget it :)

 Pluses:

• Beautiful sets and computer graphics to admire.
• Fast paced action sequences.
• I particularly loved the background score of the movie.
• I also personally liked the Prince-Jake Gyllenhaal as well, he had pretty adorable expressions throughout.
• A few characters like the head of the merchant bandits was also very humorous.

Minuses:

• The story lacks grip in it.
• It drags in a few places.

Shrek 4

  

Super cute flick. One of the best's of the animated series in 3D. Visuals were good, so was the story and the characters :) Worth a watch.

Pluses:

• 3D animation was really good.
• Story was very cute, second half is better than the first.
• Shrek was mindblowing, and so was Feona...check her out in the second half :D
• Loved everything about the movie, be it the donkey, or the Puss in the boots, or even the villain and the witches, anythin and everythin :)

Minuses:

Dont want to forcefully create any. :)

Kites

Not worth even a single watch. Wish one would sell tickets for half the movie till intermission, then u could have given it a try. It hurts a lot to say this, but the movie is total waste of time.

Pluses:

• Hrithik looked super dude in the first half an hr of the movie. I couldnt take my eyes off him.
• Kangna was looking better than expected.
• The dance sequence "Fire" was breathtaking for an Indian actor to perform.

Minuses:

• Very poorly written script.
• Poor direction.Wish Rakesh Roshan would have directed the flick instead of Anuraag Basu, he knws how to churn the best out of his son.
• The movie lacked the touch, the soul.
• Be it the love story, or the action sequences or the tragedy, nothing was touching.
• Songs were literally forced into when the span of the movie is hardly of 2 hrs.
• Except for "Zindagi" and "Fire", none other songs were any good.
• Barbara Mori-No comments.

Badmaash Company

Good movie, and the credit completely goes to the script. Not for everybody's taste i believe. Nevertheless, i loved it. :)

Pluses:

• The script was very well written.
• Drama was complete, nothing was overdone yet.
• Kudos to the director, he churned the best out of all the actors. :) Parmeet Sethi made his mark.
• Anushka is good when compared to her debut movie, Veer is cute, Chang is pretty good for a debutant, Shahid is a lot better post Kaminey.
• Indian cinema is growin, like this fact.

Minuses:

• There were a few loose ends here and there, like how was Anushka earning her living after breaking from the partnership of the company; and also wat happened to the legal marriage of Shahid which he committed for a green card.
• Songs are good only within the context of the movie, not otherwise.
• Might not strike a cord with the masses, made for kinda selective audience.

Iron Man 2

A good watch. But dont expect anything to be extraordinarily gratifying. I still consider Iron Man better than its sequel. The punch as was seen in Iron Man was felt missing in this sequel.

Pluses:

• Entertaining.
• Scarlett Johansson was good in her short role.
• As you would expect, Tony Stark's attitude is mesmerising.
• I particularly loved the role of Pepper Potts in the sequel.
• Good action, though none of the action sequences did last for long.

Minuses:

• First half reminds you of Spider Man 3.
• They had a good plot to begin with

1. Side effects of having a chemical device inside Tony's body.
2. An age old revenge.
3. Tony's father's dream.

     Alas, they cudnt frame it properly.

• Script was definately poorly written and the editing of the movie was equally not up to the mark.
• All the other actors except for Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow were wasted.

Housefull

 

 
Aboluste time pass. Keep ur logic behind, take a back seat and enjoy.

Pluses:

• Deepika shed maximum clothes for the first time in the first half of the movie. :D Nevertheless, she looked gorgeous.
• Lara looked absolute chic in her uniform at work. She was consistently looking fine through out.
• Arjun Rampal as usual was killer with his looks.
• The song, "Aapka ka kya hoga janaab-e-ali", totally rocked in the theatre.
• The script even though mindless doesnt bore you.

Minuses:

• For such a huge star cast, the acting was quite poor.
• The script is hopeless.
• Akshay Kumar is completely wasted, he should now grow out of this and such kinda roles finally.
• Akshay Kumar's character is a main character, and is exaggerated a lot.
• You perhaps might not find it paisa vasool though.
