Inception

Personally, i felt its just and over hyped flick.A good watch for sure, but doesnt live up to the hype created around it.

Pluses:

• Leo, goes without saying.
• A totally new concept to explore, the sub conscious mind. :)
• The unrelated narration and depth of the dreams, which keeps you glued to your seats.
• The touch that the script has to the various aspects and detailing of a persons dreams.
• An abrupt ending, left audiences open to free assumptions/interpretations

Minuses:

• Cliched drama of husband-wife crap viz. dead wife..coming in dream...bearing guilt and bla bla.
• It even drags at a few places, for example the third nested dream in the snow, i almost fell asleep during the dream :D
• An abrupt ending, left audiences open to free assumptions/interpretations. I know its one of the pluses, but also one of the minuses, feels like utter waste of time so far trying to decipher the entire story, ending into an open space. Howsoever, everyone is a winner, those who understood the movie n also those who didnt. :P
• Accepted the concept was new, but neither the style nor the punch in the end was something never seen before.
• A lot better was expected for Leo-Nolan duo.

Salt

Absolute time pass. Nothing in the script, nothin new to watch. Pure action. Watch it only for Jolie.

Pluses:

• Angelina Jolie. Watch the movie only for her.
• One would have to wait really long to see Bollywood actresses doing such stunts. Imagine Madhuri Dixit of Angelina's age doin something like Salt :D 

Minuses:

• Cliched script.
• Not a paisa vasool for the female audiences. :D
• Its a v short movie, for bout less than 2 hrs. Another reason for not being a paisa vasool flick. :D
• One good part of a short movie is, if u dont see any pluses, u dont have many minuses either :P

Tere Bin Laden

Entertaining but not for all kinds of audiences, strictly for multiplex audience. Sarcastic sense of humour dominates.

Pluses:

• No huge expectations from any character, at times its good for a small budget movie with low profile actors :) And hence they deliver well, at least apparently they do. :D
• Sarcastic humour is the soul of the movie. A lot of double meaning dialogues as well.
• Look alike of Laden is mind blowing.
• Well written script, without hurting any sentiments...opens out everything.
• Its my first experience of Karachi on a big screen, liked it. :)

Minuses:

• Since u dont expect much, u dont really mind anythin. :)

Udaan

 

 
A movie meant for multiplex and teenage audience. A story of every rebel teenager. Quite a slow movie.

Pluses:

• Rajat Barmecha for his rocking debut.
• Ronit Roy, u will absolutely hate him by the end of the movie, such is this man's impact on u. :) Very very convincing act.
• For those who enjoy some literary stuffs, there are some good deep rooted poetic narrations.
• The dont care attitude and a rebel inside every teenage kid is portrayed pretty well.

Minuses:

• Its documentary style presentation, too slow.
• Not a very significant role for Ram Kapoor,he had much better scope than utilised.
• Music at some places is soothing, others ignorable.
• Movie lacks grip, not many will be able to hold on to the patience to sit through the entire thin. :)

Knight and Day

Full on action and drama with a touch of sarcastic humour througout. All in all a complete time pass, entertaining flick. :)

Pluses:

• Tom Cruise :)
• Cameroon Diaz did a good job too, even though am not a big fan of hers. :)
• Some of the witty humourous dialogues were the actual soul of the movie, without which the movie would have been the same old cliched action drama.
• Its USP, is its fast paced action which doesnt let u get bored even for a moment.

Minuses:

• Mindless stuffs, keep ur brains and all logics at home :)
• Since there is not much of mind applied into it, so i am blind towards every other minuses :P

Toys Storys 3

One really nice animation flick in quite sometime. :) The name sounds quite kiddish n silly, but its meant for all age groups. Light hearted, refreshing movie. :)

Pluses:

• Simplicity of the story, v cute. :) Nicely done script. :)
• All the characters especially the Bear, the big doll are awesome and so are our Buzz and Cowboy. :)
• Takes you through a joyous ride of fanatasy world, which has all masalas, viz. politics, action, drama, love stories :)

Minuses:

• Once again, 3D wasnt really required, its v much okay to watch it in 2D.
• Might feel a little long while watchin, u cant cook much out of a simple script.

I Hate Love Storys

Long time having watched anythin but entertaintment. :) Even after so much of rona dhona involved, it never fails to create a good sense of humour at right places. :) A v gd weekend watch. One serious advice, dont expect anythin extraordinary.

Pluses:

• Sonam Kapoor looks just and simply "WOW" throughout. :)
• We love Imran as cutie pie and not as a macho man. :)
• Whenever u feel the emotions are taking a toll, the good humour of the movie keeps you going. Fresh humour is the best thin bout this flick.
• You will love all the comic references to every Karan Johar's romantic "SAGA's" :D
• Imran's fren/colleauge/guide is one fab character. :)

Minuses:

• Music most of the times is boring, apart from a 1 or 2 songs, every other songs is comfortably ignorable.
• First half is better than second half, post interval it drags a bit but the diretor manages to end it well. :)
• Imran Khan's character is quite cynical and irritating at times especially in the beginning, and he actually feels so feminish with his girlish bak-bak image. His dialogues shud have been cut short, he doesnt need to speak so much to prove his hatred towards love stories after all :D
• At a few instances the drama is a little too much to bear, but i guess u shoud give this much of edge to Karan Johar after all :P
