Cast: Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, Tony Amendola(Father), Alfre Woodard (Evelyn),Tree O'Toole(Annabelle)
Director: John R. Leonetti
Genre: Horror
Doesn't live up to the expectations. No where close to 'The Conjuring'
You may look forward to:
- The second half of the movie, far better than the first half
- Annabelle Wallis, co incidental name or intentionally chosen for this movie :) She did a good job playing a mother, and protecting her family from evil
- Alfre Woodard plays a significant role with least screen presence :)
- Ward Horton and Tony Amendola were decent supports
- Tree O'Toole, manages to spook time to time
What you can sleep over:
The climax and the end! Very non happening and so comfortably done and concluded!
The dampeners you should be aware of:
- The terrifying moment were far less, and a lot less intriguing!
- First half was more of a slow family drama, mostly without any content
- Be the investigation and analytical part, or be it the thrilling aspect, they were all very subtle and nothing outstanding to make you scream in horror
My Rating: 2/5
