Expected this one to hit big time with alarming thought of the near future.Alas!! it failed.Movie looked not much different from any other hollywood flick based on saving human race,saving atmosphere, saving earth and so on... Nevertheless, the visual effects were outstanding, definately worth a watch in the big screen.

Plot:

An Indian geologist discovers there is somethig fishy with the earth's mantle. The earth crust is de-stabilising and the core of it is heating up really fast. He calls upon a scientist(Adrian Helmsley ) from US to inform him on the situation. Adrian in turn helps himself being a messenger and alerts the US President on the same. In the G8 summit to follow, its decided upon to save the human race by getting into a secret project of building
new arks in the Himalayas which would carry selected species to continue life(basically a modern Noah's Ark) :D

Meanwhile one heroic family consituting of a father of 2 children and a divorcee(John Cusack) takes out his kids for a camp to Yellowstone National Park, whilst his wife is attended behind by her latest boy friend cum an amateur pilot. There he meets an RJ who has an idea bout the unstable areas in Yellowstone National Park and warns John on the end of the world with an additional piece of information that there are arks building up in Himalayas which promises to carry life post the tragedy and that he has a secret map of the
same. Though John doesnt pay much attention to his words, but when he returns back, he learns earth beneath california is in serious trouble as the city is already witnessing major jolts of earthquakes and sudden cracks in the ground. He manages a private plane to rescue his family when the entire california drowns in the sea. The family which also includes the amatuer pilot fly the aircraft to get back to Yellowstone with a hope to find the map which the RJ mentioned which would take them to the ark. Though he manages to get the map, the entire national park meanwhile blows up as the most active volvano ever. Further, as the family realises that the map is to China, they plan to land in Las Vegas where they meet another group along with another pilot. All of them fly in a bigger aircraft towards china.


On the other hand, in US the private aircraft taking selected number of people to the arks in Himalayas are set to take off, when the President of US denies to board himself n decides to stay back as a support to the nation. Unfortunately one good President dies in the Tsunami that hits the city thereafter.

Back to the family, where they have a crash landing in snowy mountains near Himalayas. Somehow they manage to escape from there with a monk in a truck to the arks. They manage to sneak in the ark. Now, the countdown begins for the last impacted area i.e Himalayas to be hit. End moment Adrian decides to open the gates of the ark again to save those who are fightin to get inside the ark. After boarding as many people, the gate faces an issue shuttin down. Thats when our John plays the heroic part of clearing the jamming gate almost at the right time when the tsunami already hits the ark, and water starts filling in and the arks starts floating towards the giant moutains for a collision. The gate is finally closed, and the failing engine starts and at the nick of time, the ark is saved from collision.

As the worst is over and things are settling down, they discover that a land mass in Africa is safe above sea level and they head towards the Cape of Good Hope. And John reconciles with his family in this tragedy.
Watch out to check who all dies which i havent mentioned in the Plot  :D and of course to watch India sink. And genuinely for the visual effects, a must watch in a theatre.

Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani

Time pass flick. High expectations are sure to meet with disappointments. Sincere request, there shud'nt be any comparison with "Aandaaz apna apna". The movie was a well attempted direction and script towards making the same, but fails creating the charisma.Movie editing is actually quite pathetic. Hilarious in bits and parts. Ranbir takes the crown away.

Story:

The movie is completely shot in various sets. Very less resemblence to real world. Its more like a fanatasy tale.You will sure me reminded of Saawariya. Ranbir once again plays the role of a sweet die-hard lover who will go to any extent for his gal. Ranbir to begin with is 9th standard failure, who cant even speak good english, is jobless and runs a club called 'Happy Club' as a self proclaimed President of it which is run by him and his pack of frens. The motto of the 'Happy Club' is to keep everybody happy and meant specifically for
the youth. Abducting young gals to make jodis with his frens is another package in his club. While his parents wants him to get on a right track. Meanwhile Katrina( a christian maiden) happens to come across due to a small confusion and eventually happen to become his neigbour. As expected they become frens and charmed by her beauty, Ranbir instantly falls in love with her. The rest of the movie goes around wat a crazy lover would do for his gal. The climax is when Ranbir gets to know that Katrina loves someone else, who happens to be Upen Patel, a Hindu boy and a son of a MLA. Ranbir is heart broken, but helps Katrina find her love amidst all the other distractions like Katrina's step parents wanting her to get married to another guy for their benefit and Upen Patel's father unwilling to get them married. And to add the chaos further, a 3rd class don who kidnaps Katrina for ransom. In the end, while the marriage is fixed between Katrina and Upen, she realises she is in love with Ranbir. And the conclusion is very much predictable. All the songs are forcefully pushed in the movie. Also Salman Khan has a special appearance.Overall a light hearted time pass flick.

One Question

How does it feel when you know the one whom you love giving your entire self completely to him, is always neutral to your feelings?? He is happy when you are happy, even happy when u are sad!!
How does it feel when you give your most important years of life to someone, fightin against all odds, in the end to find out, that he wants to marry u?? Happy?? Think again, when he also adds that he doesnt have that drive to marry u against all HIS odds.( He is only arrangin his marriage with u!!!! )Now do u smile??
And over all these he says, he loves you?? Do u believe him??
