Ishqiya

A good time pass and entertaining flick. Dont expect too much out of it. Just a regular masala film. Watch it for the dialogues and the delivery of the same. The movie is only for the characters and less for the story.

Plot:

This a story of a village in Uttar Pradesh and a love triangle between the 3 important characters of the movie viz Babban(Arshad Warsi), KhaluJaan(Naseerddin Shah) and Krishna(Vidya Balan). Khalujaan and Babban are 2 thieves who have managed to flee some cash under the nose of their own boss. They are now on a run to escape from their boss. They try all possible place for a shelter and finally Krishna comes to aid. Krishna is a widow of a
former criminal Verma. In the run, Khalunjaan starts falling for Krishna on account of a common interest "Music". Babban on the other hand is a womaniser. While on the other hand, Krishna starts plotting a big game, of abducting a low profile rich businessman with the interest of encashing a bit and lured Khalujaan and Babban in the plot in the name of saving them from the don who is threatening them for money. What hidden plan Krishna has behind the abduction is not known till the end.

Both the thieves starts implementing the drama now.Meanwhile Babban falls in love with Krishna. And there is a proper love triangle now, where both Khalujaan and Babban try to beat each other to earn some quality time with the lady. The rest half of the movie is all light headed entertainment. Watch, laugh and forget.

The twist unveils when Krishna's intentions are cleared behind everything. And that follows a series of love, hatred, betrayal, fights..finally ending on a happy note.

Music is good to the ears. You can expect to have a good weekend watch on the flick.

My Rating: 2.5/5
