The Expendables

Absolute time pass. Not worth the money.

Pluses:

• Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham. They were the leads and were superb.
• Good action, after all thats the very essence of the movie, it has to be good. :)

Minuses:

• Rest of all the big names were absolutely wasted.
• Script was no good, very cliched something.

Peepli [Live]

Average time pass flick. Nothing new that we havent seen before. Story of below poverty line farmers and the politics of Indian Govt.

Pluses:

• Our center of attraction, Nattha :) His expressions reminded me of Garfield :D Always neutral to everything happening around him. :P No reaction.
• Good depiction of the farmer's reality.
• A tight slap to the govt.
• Sarcastic and humorous take on the media.

Minuses:

• Very short movie, ever by bollywood. Not a paisa vasool, guys u can wait to watch it over ur Tata Sky within a few months :)
• Cliched drama, have seen the satire on Media even before and also the plight of the people below poverty line, nothing impressive.
• There was a lot more expected from Aamir Khan Productions.
• Even though the movie was so short, spanning only by 1.5 hrs...i felt the movie was dragging, not much of content to show. Not very well scripted.
• Music was so-so, more close to village folks songs.

Aisha

Light hearted entertainment. International take on fashion and style of movies...female centric of course. :)
PS: Its still a movie for both the sexes :)

Pluses:

• As highly mis interpreted, it isnt a feminish movie ONLY. It definately is female centric but has a lot to do with mixed genders.
• Here from begins another overhaul of Indian fashion, very well take on glamour.
• I loved the direction of the movie.
• Not much of any rona dhona or heavy hearted drama, v subtle emotions, rest only fun. :)
• Beautiful locations in India, no foregin locations, but yet makes u feel like being there. :)
• Sonam Kapoor, goes without saying was rocking throughout, she looked super hot and class :)
• Abhay Deol was smashing as well...as usual his dialogues and delivery catches ur attention every time.
• Ira Dubey was charming, Amrita puri was fresh n cute, Cyrus Sahukar was an idiot(thats a compliment for him :D) and last but not the least, Lisa Haydon and Arunoday Singh were hot :)

Minuses:

• Script isnt any great..but direction pulls it all off.
• Music was so-so, though gal meethi-meethi was aptly placed in the movie.
• The potential of the all the stars in the movie was not completely utilised.
• Less expectations work, more fails :)

Once upon a time in Mumbai

One flick that lived upto its promises and hype :) A very well written and well done movie. A must watch.

Pluses:

• Very heavy dialogues, totally reminds you of the past era. :)
• The entire starcast, viz. Ajay, Emraan, Kangna, Prachi, Randeep....the success of the movie is not on just one star, but all :)
• Kangna was a surprise element, her accent improved :D And looks as gorgeous and confident as ever. :)
• Music is pretty good and suiting the class of the movie.
• Script was very well written, and also directed quite well.

Minuses:

• Its a male centric movie, even though both the females were good, they didnt have much scope to perform.
• At a few places the dialogues were overdone, u cant except every other citizen to be a role model :D

Khatta Meetha

A very time pass flick. You wudnt hate it, nor will u love it so much.

Pluses:

• Very biased, but my only reason to watch this movie was Akshay Kumar.I somehow love him with anythin he does. :)
• Quite unexpectedly the movie had a script, it was not completely mindless. :)
• Music definately did sound better in theatre.
• There wasnt any village drama at the end of the movie, as is commonly cited in every Priyadarshan flick.

Minuses:

• Trisha...she was v disappointing...Honeslty Hindi doesnt suit her...her voice moreoever is dubbed, it is v uncomfortable to watch her.
• Akshay was omnipresent but his role didnt have the punch at all.
• Songs were most of the times just forcefully pushed in.

Inception

Personally, i felt its just and over hyped flick.A good watch for sure, but doesnt live up to the hype created around it.

Pluses:

• Leo, goes without saying.
• A totally new concept to explore, the sub conscious mind. :)
• The unrelated narration and depth of the dreams, which keeps you glued to your seats.
• The touch that the script has to the various aspects and detailing of a persons dreams.
• An abrupt ending, left audiences open to free assumptions/interpretations

Minuses:

• Cliched drama of husband-wife crap viz. dead wife..coming in dream...bearing guilt and bla bla.
• It even drags at a few places, for example the third nested dream in the snow, i almost fell asleep during the dream :D
• An abrupt ending, left audiences open to free assumptions/interpretations. I know its one of the pluses, but also one of the minuses, feels like utter waste of time so far trying to decipher the entire story, ending into an open space. Howsoever, everyone is a winner, those who understood the movie n also those who didnt. :P
• Accepted the concept was new, but neither the style nor the punch in the end was something never seen before.
• A lot better was expected for Leo-Nolan duo.
