Rockstar

Very disappointing movie. Expected a lot better from Imtiaz Ali and A.R Rehman. Not a very matured flick for a matured audience.

Pluses:

• Ranbir Kapoor. Whatever was given to him, he justified the role.
• The first half an hour was entertaining, but thats about it.

Minuses:

• Impatiently slow. Unnecessarily long.
• Attempt to frame it in the western fashion, stitching stories back and forth, but the context didnt really work for it. Nothing intriguing enough to hold you to see the past.
• Disappointing character sketch of a Rockstar. The pain, the frustration they tried to portray, wasnt up to the mark.
• Many many flaws, 'Jordan' acting insane and animal like for no apparent reason. No drugs either. A frame of Rockstar is incomplete without dope. :D Somebody plz remind Imtiaz about it :)
• Nargis Fakhri, a complete let down when it comes to acting. One of the major character in the movie and what awful performance.
• Music was just about passe. Screwed up the very popular 'Sadda Haq' with forced context on Mother Nature :P The most romantic of the songs ,"Tum ho" was equivalent to 'nahi hona'. Rest of them were all backgrounds.
• Not a very strong script to depict the romance between the two leads.

In short, Imtiaz tried to put a lot of masala in the picture...Alas! failed to make an impact.
