Dallas Buyers Club

Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto
Director: Jean-Marc Vallée
Genre: Biography,Drama,History

A wonderful watch. A story full of life

You may look forward to:
  • Matthew McConaughey, undoubtedly. He is the one who teaches how to value life and more importantly why to value life. He is no role model, rather a guy who makes a living out of illegal trades, but he is the man who best knows how to trade life off. Brilliant acting, many cheers!
  • Jared Leto. ohh my!! So close to reality. Another beautiful actor who wonderfully acted a woman :) Such a best fit in the story of 'Woodroof', that her role almost looks like being scripted :) But without her, the story of 'Woodroof' wouldnt feel complete :)
  • Jennifer Garner, played a sensible support
  • Glad a story like this was picked up to be showcased into a full fledged movie. None is a hero here, no one is setting a role model or giving out a good moral in the end. Its just a life story but is so very positive. An undying urge to live of a dying man, without showcasing any act of sympathy and without a lot of unwanted drama
  • Directed very well, the content is a lot in the hands of the director. Whether to handle it subtle or to exaggerate, becomes the question. He did just the right :)

What you can sleep over:

Any aspect of the movie, if it so sounds unacceptable to you, dont succumb to it. The take home is not whats on the surface but whats underlying :)

The dampeners you should be aware of:

No dampeners :)

My rating: 4/5
