Director: Christopher Nolan
Genre: Sci-Fi, Adventure

One movie to blow your mind! Must must watch!

Note: This is rather an intelligent movie, and no where comparable to 'Gravity' which was more for its visuals

You may look forward to:

  • This movie belongs to Christopher Nolan. The way he represents science and explains it in layman terms, aint any easy job to accomplish. He literally sums up all the researches around our universe and more in a matter of 3 hours, as intelligibly possible to be comprehended
  • The movie opens up your mind to think beyond, beyond the 3 dimensions:) This has a lasting impact on you for days to come
  • Matthew McConaughey does it again, after the 'Dallas Buyer's Club'. He plays a well built sturdy farmer/NASA pilot in this one,the most experienced and the brave one. He plays a role much beyond his own survival up in the space. One man to watch out for!
  • Anne Hathaway as the leading lady, plays the character of Dr. Brand beautifully, just the way her director wanted her to
  • Jessica Chastain was one of the very important characters. She keeps buzzing on and off throughout the movie
  • Matt Damon had a decent appearance, we can rather call him the bad man of the show :) Well played!
  • David Gyasi and Wes Bentley were good supporting casts up in the space :D
  • Josh Stewart and in particular Bill Irwin have their presence felt amazingly well, their voices behind the machines were remarkable
  • Mackenzie Foy and Michael Caine, were good supports from the characters on earth :)
  • This movie is an experience, more for the story and for the direction, as compared to the visuals

What you can sleep over:

  • The first half is a lot nerdy, too many scientific terminologies, not everyone can understand it at first go through and through. Though it definitely doesn't mess up with the underlying plot onto which the story is running
  • At the very climax, almost 10-15 mins of the movie is just very errand, where in they keep switching between Cooper inside Black Hole and Murph back on earth in her library. The most confusing minutes of the movie which as well gets pretty irritating at one point of time, when for all most 10 minutes you as an audience are struggling to understand what after all are they individually trying to connect to!

The dampeners you should be aware of:

  • Yes, the movie could have been visually so much better as well. It was not built in 3D, that's a big time dampener. Some better visual effects, could have done wonders!
  • There were few unexplained weird misses here and there, like that of Proff. Brand's role after 23 years, he just doesn't age a bit until his dying days, except for that additional wheel chair put to him, crazy miss by Nolan! Unbelievable, just hoped for a better explanation to it, but alas! There were none. Again by the end of the movie, they completely forgot Cooper's Son(Tom), perhaps he didn't want to pay up for another old character :P

My Rating: 4/5
